China IV is a national emission stage for non-road mobile machinery, introduced for new machines sold in China. In stringency it sits in the same family as EU Stage IV and US Tier 4 Final, using after-treatment such as SCR or DOC+DPF depending on the engine.
It is not automatically accepted in every destination: some markets require EU Stage V, EPA Tier 4 Final or their own approval, and used machines are often regulated separately from new ones. Check the import rules of your country before buying on emission stage alone.
