A quick coupler lets the operator change between bucket, breaker, grab or ripper without leaving the cab, using a mechanical or hydraulic locking mechanism.
It saves time on mixed work but adds a wear point: check the locking pins, the hydraulic coupler's safety check valve and whether the coupler matches the pin diameter of the attachments you plan to use. Couplers are not universal across brands and sizes.
